Panic Attack Cures

Did you know one of the most effective panic attacks cures is being able to think clearly? It’s true. Learning to sort out irrational distortions in your thought processes allows you to eliminate any negative self-image thoughts you may have. These are then replaced by more positive and life-enhancing thoughts.

The plan of attack is pretty simple and straightforward:

• Understand and accept that negative thought and emotions are a natural part of the consciousness
• Be able to identify and label these negative thoughts and emotions when they surface
• Never allow yourself to get consumed in these negative thoughts and emotions
• Replace the negative thoughts and emotions with positive and rational thoughts

When I did my research on panic attack cures, one of the first things I learned that a made a difference for me was accepting that negative thoughts can and will come around again. I can’t change that. But I can change the way I react when those thoughts come around again.

I learned that all of my moods are shaped by my thoughts. It is not the events in my life that effects how I feel. Rather it is my perception of those events that actually effects how I really feel. This is what is known as Cognitive Restructuring.

Wikipedia defines Cognitive Restructuring as “the process of learning to refute cognitive distortions, or fundamental "faulty thinking," with the goal of replacing one's irrational, counter-factual beliefs with more accurate and beneficial ones.” It also is one the most effective panic attack cures.

So, what I found was that mood determined my ability to function. If I am nervous, fearful, or depressed, then I leave myself open to anxiety and panic attacks. I can catch my distorted thinking and replace it with thoughts based on what is real, positive, and factual.
